In 2023 I had a motorcycle accident, eight broken ribs, a punctured lung, a year of physio just to get my left arm working again.

For a year I was completely out of it. Zero emergencies. The team ran the whole thing without me.

I won't pretend I wasn't scared about what I'd come back to.

What I came back to: a team that hit its targets, made the calls that needed making, and handled whatever came up, all without me in the room. Nobody had been waiting on me. Nobody had needed to.

That's not a team getting lucky for a year. It's years of building people to own their decisions instead of depending on mine, finally tested for real.

That test is what made me sit down and write out what actually decides who gets seen and moved up, and who stays exactly where they are.

It opens July 7.
